Manufacturing
Engineer |
|
|
Works in a team environment to support
manufacturing operations in the implementation of new products and
processes. Duties include manufacturing documentation creation and
review, design review, tooling and process development and shop floor
support for day to day operations.

Minimum 5 years experience in manufacture of metal structures and
components

Familiar with various manufacturing processes including welding,
stamping and various forming methods

Understanding and experience in the creation and maintenance of Bill
of Materials, manufacturing drawings and production tooling and
processes

Senior RF and
Mechanical
Engineers |
|
|
Senior RF and Mechanical Engineers with
some antennas design experience. Familiar with the use of the
latest software packages such as: Grasp8, HFSS, Solid-Works, AutoCad,
Champ8, AnSys, etc.
Experience working in small teams and to deadlines an asset.
Innovative thinking encouraged. Hands on approach essential.
Must be willing to relocate to corporate
headquarters. |

Mechanical/Structural Engineer
|
|
|
Seeking a well-motivated senior
level Mechanical engineers experienced with the mechanical aspects of
large and medium sized satellite earth station antenna systems. The
selected candidates will have to be able to demonstrate a track record
of involvement with antenna design of all sizes including limited and
full motion designs for use in tough environments. Familiarity with
industry standards and practices is essential as is some knowledge of
environmental factors as they affect antenna structures. Familiarity
with some of the standard software is essential, including Solid -Works.
An understanding of manufacturing and fabrication methods would be very
useful.
The company’s new products under
development are technically leading this industry and some of the target
programs are the most exciting applications industry. These include the
DSN array, radio-telescopes and conventional high accuracy tracking
communications systems. These programs need larger earth station
antennas and systems using precision engineered mechanical structures
and electro-mechanical systems for movement and control. Any experience
with the electrical control systems of larger antennas would be an
advantage.
Skills Required: BSME or
BSCE. 3D design using Solidworks or equivalent. FEA analysis of
structures and mechanical systems. Minimum 5 years experience.
Skills Preferred:
B.Sc. or equivalent professional Mechanical Engineering
qualifications.
The ability to work as part of a
small team and produce accurate and innovative ideas and designs.
Experience with FEA and other
structural design techniques.
A strong industrial based, “hands
on” background will also be very useful for these important positions.
Experience with some MIL Std and specs would also be
useful.
Experience in interfacing with customers would be a plus. |

Structural Analyst Engineer |
|
|
Seeking a well-motivated senior
level structural engineer experienced with the design and analysis of
large and medium metal structures. The selected candidates will have to
be able to demonstrate a track record of involvement with analysis of a
variety of structures including steel, aluminum and composites as well
as the ability to perform civil engineering design and analysis of
foundation structures. Familiarity with industry standards and practices
such as AISC, Aluminum Association and ACI is essential as is some
knowledge of environmental factors as they affect structures.
Familiarity with standard design and analysis software is essential. An
understanding of manufacturing and fabrication methods would be most
useful. Prior experience in the satellite antenna industry would be an
advantage. Experience with MIL Std specifications would also be useful.
Experience in interfacing with customers would be a plus.

Electrical/Electronics Engineer
|
|
|
Perform antenna
pattern, gain, noise temperature testing. Electrical wiring of antenna
pedestals and control systems. Troubleshooting of electrical systems.
Skills Required:
2-5 years antenna wiring, installation experience.
Skills Preferred:
BSEE. |

Designer/Drafter Engineer
|
|
|
Designs new products and makes improvements to existing products. May
evaluate products, parts, or processes for cost efficiency and
reliability. Works with other members of the engineering staff to ensure
that production is completed in a timely manner. Has knowledge of
commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular
field. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform
the functions of the job. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager.
Skills Required:
Minimum 3
years experience working with Solid Works in design/drafting of metal
fabricated structures; familiar with design layouts and fabrication
drawings.

Electrical/Technician Engineer |
|
|
Designs, develops, and tests all aspects of electrical components,
equipment, and machinery. May use computer-assisted engineering and
design software and equipment to perform assignments. Applies principles
and techniques of electrical engineering to accomplish goals. Familiar
with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular
field. Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish
goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Works under general supervision. A
certain degree of creativity and latitude is required.
Skills Required:
5+ years
experience in electrical assembly and testing.
Skills Preferred:
Mechanically inclined with experience in electro-mechanical devices. |

Antenna RF
Engineer |
|
|
Perform antenna
pattern, gain, noise temperature testing. Perform antenna optical and
feed design. Maintain Patriot's feed chamber and antenna range and
define equipment requirements. Perform on satellite pattern and G/T
testing.
Skills Required:
5 - 10 years experience, BSEE. Expertise with network, spectrum
analyzers and other microwave equipment. Customer and vendor
interface skills. Earth station antenna
design experience. HFSS, TICRA software.
Skills Preferred:
Experience with control systems and wiring. Ability to troubleshoot
range and other equipment problems. Satellite communications antenna
experience. |
