Since it's launch in February of 2005, the XTAR satellite has been servicing the US government, US allies and NATO countries. Because of it's high powered transponders, this satellite has the capability to communicate with much smaller terminals as opposed to older satellites that need much larger reflectors to achieve similar data rates. XTAR's X-band data rates are demonstrably higher than previous X-band data rates and are subject to lower rain and sandstorm attenuation than Ku/Ka band transmissions. XTAR is unique in that it works with LHCP on the uplink, and RHCP on the downlink. It also works in the traditional style of RHCP on the uplink and LHCP on the downlink. Patriot offers low cost X-band terminals with field swappable feeds between LHCP and RHCP. Due to the military nature of X-band, Patriot has developed their X-band feed to be a perfect fit for their Flyaways and Mobile VSAT systems. Patriot's X-band feed not only works with the transportable antenna systems but also with their entire VSAT line from 67cm to 3.8m. As always, these systems are available with the quick swap feed system. Switch between C, Ku, Ka or X in a matter of seconds. Contact Patriot for more information regarding their X-band feeds or log onto www.sepatriot.com
